What we're about!
Olyimprov believes that improv practice is good for everyone. The experience of play and co-creation feeds the soul and brings us back to ourselves. Improv's emphasis on generosity, cooperation, trust, and experimentation counterbalances fear, and releases creativity; These benefits are open to all people - at any age, any walk of life, and especially to those who have never done it before!.
Olyimprov's goal is to make the experience and lessons of improv available to as many people as possible.
Olyimprov exists to provide opportunities for people to integrate improvisation into their lives. When we do perform, the goal of the performance will still be to encourage people to integrate improvisation into their lives. Olyimprov believes that improv is a process of personal growth as well as it is pretty much the most fun you can have without getting arrested.
Strategies
- Conducts Improv Classes regularly.
- Designs and develops workshops to bring the lessons of improv to organizations and groups.
- Designs and develops workshops using improv techniques to further personal growth.
- Promotes trainings and practice sessions to deepen our own improv practice.
- Develops Improv Performance pieces to explore interaction in improvisation.
